On October 22, 2026, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev held a meeting with Pierre-André Page, President of the National Council of the Swiss Federal Assembly.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for strengthening Kyrgyz-Swiss relations, expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as developing collaboration in the cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening interparliamentary ties, improving the investment climate, and exploring opportunities for cooperation in the energy and agricultural sectors.
The Swiss delegation included prominent representatives of Switzerland’s political and business communities: Bruno Marnier, President of the Grand Council of the Canton of Fribourg; Christophe Emmenegger, Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Canton of Fribourg; and Siroco Messerli, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to the Kyrgyz Republic.
Kristina Vladimirovna Chervonova, Chairwoman of the Management Board of KSB Commercial Bank CJSC, also participated in the meeting.
The meeting reaffirmed the mutual commitment of both sides to strengthening bilateral dialogue, developing economic ties, and expanding opportunities for further cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland.
