On October 21, 2026, Pierre-André Page, President of the National Council of the Swiss Federal Assembly, held a meeting with Marlen Mamataliyev, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Switzerland’s political and business communities, including Bruno Marnier, President of the Grand Council of the Canton of Fribourg; Christophe Emmenegger, Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Canton of Fribourg; Jürg Staubli, a Swiss investor and principal shareholder of KSB Commercial Bank CJSC; and Siroco Messerli, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to the Kyrgyz Republic.

Kristina Vladimirovna Chervonova, Chairwoman of the Management Board of KSB Commercial Bank CJSC, also participated in the meeting.

During the discussions, the parties explored prospects for strengthening Kyrgyz-Swiss relations and expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation. Particular attention was paid to collaboration in the financial sector, energy, infrastructure, education, and tourism.

Marlen Mamataliyev emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s interest in attracting Swiss investment and implementing joint projects. Both sides also highlighted the importance of strengthening business ties, exchanging expertise, and creating favorable conditions for the further development of bilateral cooperation.

The meeting reaffirmed the mutual interest of Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland in expanding economic ties, strengthening investment cooperation, and fostering long-term partnership between the two countries.
